We are sandwiched in between the equinox in Libra and the full moon in Aries this week. Both are strong energies and change agents! During equinox the sun’s energy streaming down on the planet is active and transformative. A full moon happens when the moon is opposite the sun with the Earth in between. The moon’s energy peaks when it’s full, and the astrological sign it’s in gets charged up too. Libra is water, Aries is fire; these extra energy boosts can be enlivening, destabilizing, or both.
Libra represents balance too, and equinoxes are literally when the length of day and night are equal. The best time to absorb the sun’s rays is during the transition between day and night - dusk and dawn. We have another week to take advantage of maximum light magic absorption!
Equinoxes, eclipses, new and full moons have morphed into spiritual traditions over the centuries, but they are rooted in ecology and biology. The “New Age” is really revisiting the ancient history and knowledge of humanity. Let’s not forget or disregard the primordial wisdom residing in our bodies, and the earth.
Here’s a description of the torus, and how it relates us to the cosmos - and an exercise to reinforce that connection!
The Equinox and the Torus
Why does so much energy come from the sun during Equinox, more than any other time of the year?
Peace, love and healing -
